I made these with Enjoy Life chocolate chips which are dairy free and not super sweet especially if you are using their dark chocolate chips! Paired with the naturally sweet coconut makes these such a yummy snack on Easter!
We are dairy free, but last year when I made these I splurged on the chocolate eggs to fill the nests. I used my all time favorite mini chocolate eggs by Cadbury. They were a treat for sure!

The first year I made these chocolate coconut nests I didn’t let my kids know. They were still really little and I made them after they went to bed. In the morning I had added them two of them to their Easter baskets and they loved it! Now I just make them to set out on Easter.

Chcocolate Nests
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
- 3 cups shredded coconut unsweetened
- 1 tsp avocado oil or other light oil
- 1 bag bag of mini chocolate eggs I used Cadbury mini eggs, but then no longer DF
Instructions
- Put chocolate chips into microwaveable safe bowl. Microwave in increments of 20 seconds stirring well after every 20 seconds until melted. Stir in oil.
- Stir in shredded coconut. With a large spoon for into nests on parchment paper. Let cool and place chocolate eggs into nests. Refrigerate for an hour to set. Then serve!
