The Easiest Gluten Free Flour Blend!

Jump to Recipe

When I first went gluten free I would look up a gluten free version of whatever I wanted to bake and get a complicated recipe that never seemed to come out good! It can be so discouraging! It always had three to four different gluten free flours, that I usually didn’t have on hand and xanthan gum. Luckily, I have the easiest gluten free flour blend for you that taste great!

These recipes made me feel like everything I knew about baking was now different and complicated! I needed to seek out all these different ingredients that were foreign to me. Each recipe seemed to take longer to make and took so much more time. Plus it never tasted like it did when it wasn’t gluten free and the texture was usually off.

I hear some people say how hard it is to bake gluten free or that they haven’t even tried it because the thought seems overwhelming! It really doesn’t have to be that way!

I’m going to save you the trouble I went through!

After years of following complicated recipes and making my own gluten free flour blends, I finally found the best tasting and easiest way to go about it!

This is going to make it so easy for you!

This blend of flours gives you the right taste. It won’t taste like beans! It also is the right texture, not grainy or gritty!

The problem when you use the one- to-one flour blends that you buy, is if you use them as your only flour in the recipe it usually thickens it up too much! Which leaves your baked goods with the wrong texture.

“The secret is…”

The secret is, you don’t need to seak out gluten free recipes with a long list of ingredients! You can use a traditional recipe for almost anything and simply sub in this flour. You will use a one-to-one gluten free flour blend (store bought), but for only 3/4 of the asking flour measurement in the recipe. The remaining amount you will use rice flour. It can be brown rice flour (my fav), white rice flour, or sweet rice flour. All of the rice flours seem to work well!

The wonderful thing about the store bought one-to-one flour is it already has xanthan gum and a couple of flours already in it! There are a few of them that I love but my favorite one-to-one flour blend is King Arthur’s Gluten Free Flour.

Now you can feel the freedom of transforming any baking recipe into a gluten free one!
