What I use for helping me keep up on all the grocery shopping for my family!
Its all about the little things to help me keep up on the daily hustle of my busy mom life. Keeping up on the groceries is a huge part of it around here.
With most of my family being allergic to gluten and dairy, I have to shop around for specific items a lot. I can’t just go into any grocery store and get everything we need. Although it is getting easier these days with more people aware of their food sensitivities.
I personally live in a rural area and we don’t have any chain stores in my neighborhood so all my shopping trips are planned out. I live probably a little further then most do from the nearest Costco or Target. They are both about a good hour from me! I do love both of those stores but, I usually only go to them (Costco mostly) about once every 7-10 days. When I do go, my large SUV is totally full because we also buy our animal feed there (cat, dog, and chicken food). So when I don’t have to pack in a ton of food and animal feed I’m happy! The less I pack in and out the easier it is on me.
We do have a small local natural foods store here in my hometown that I sometimes end up going to during the week. What really keeps me going though, is my monthly or bimonthly subscriptions through Amazon! This really helps me. If you haven’t tried this yet your missing out! If you don’t have a prime membership yet it is only $9.99 a month! I say give it a try! The subscriptions is so easy and so helpful!
For me its always a better price to order through Amazon and when you subscribe even if it’s quarterly you get more of a discount! The more items you add to your subscriptions the more discounts you receive on all of your subscribing items! I love it! Plus, it’s so simple if you need the item sooner then the date you originally picked out then you can simply click the button, ‘need it now’ or skip it! No, additional cost if your messing with your settings!
I use Amazon subscriptions for items like Seventh Generation diapers. It’s my little way of helping out the environment. I could simply buy a box of cheap diapers from a big box store but I told myself with bringing in another person into this overcrowded world I would make small changes that in the end would make a difference.
Diapers is a no-brainer getting shipped to my house! I can change the size easily as baby grows and it’s something we will always need more of for now! Also on my subscriptions is gluten free oats, we eat a ton of, vitamins for the kids and I, and mostly dry pantry items that I know we will eventually need.
If your a busy mom or just someone who doesn’t like to go shopping or doesn’t have time, I highly recommend giving Amazon subscriptions a try! It’s such a good feeling knowing each month that I have a couple of boxes coming with food items we go through and items we will need and diapers of course!! It honestly is a relief to me and I know I’m getting the best price! So help yourself out a little with the grocery list and just have it shipped to you if you don’t already and give it a try! Get your Amazon subscriptions coming to you!
